Areas of Specialisation: Monica is a Senior Dietitian, with highly specialised experience working in the General, Gastrointestinal, Cardiac, Oncology, Neurology and Renal departments of hospitals, with patients suffering from a range of chronic and acute health conditions, including nutritional support when recovering from surgery. She is an expert in the FODMAP diet for controlling gastrointestinal issues (including IBS). She also has significant experience in outpatient and community settings including nutritional support and meal plans, food allergies and intolerances, diabetes and weight management.

Professional Qualifications and Registrations:

  • Degree in Dietetics from the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa)
  • Registered Dietitian in the UK (with Health Professions Council)
  • Registered Dietitian in Qatar

Previous Experience: Monica has 16 years of outstanding experience as a dietitian before relocating to Qatar, including in some of London’s most renowned private hospitals. Most recently she was Clinical Lead Dietitian at The Princess Grace Hospital, responsible for managing the entire department, and before that she was a Senior Specialist Dietitian at The Wellington Hospital. Prior to working in the private sector, Monica had several senior roles within the UK National Health Service (NHS) both in hospitals and in community settings.
