Faizah provides specialist psychological therapy with particular expertise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) and Art Psychotherapy. Her range of qualifications and her non-judgemental, adaptable approach means she works well with clients of all ages and backgrounds in a collaborative and creative manner to meet their goals.
She has a successful record of working with a wide range of client groups in the public and private health sector with mental health problems including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, eating disorders, attachment / relationship difficulties, loss, abuse, self-harm and suicidal tendencies. She has a special interest in trauma (PTSD), low self-esteem, perfectionism and social phobia and providing culturally sensitive therapy.
Faizah has twelve years of experience in mental health, seven of which were in the National Health Service in the UK. Most recently she worked as a Clinical Lead in a Mental Health in Schools program and Adult Community Mental Health Teams. She has experience in a variety of NHS services including as a Lead Psychological Therapist and CBT Supervisor in Adult Outpatient services and as a Senior Psychological Therapist in Child & Adolescent Mental Health services.
In addition to her NHS work, Faizah has worked with leading private providers in the UK as a CBT Therapist, Art Psychotherapist and EMDR practitioner.
