The International Physiotherapy Centre is committed to providing a wide range of services & treatments, ensuring we employ the most effective technique for our patients. In addition to our hands-on and exercise-based therapies, we also offer a number of other complimentary services. All of these services are available at our Waab clinic.
Functional Medicine
Functional Medicine is a systems-focused, biology-based approach that identifies and addresses the root cause of physical health issues. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual’s illness.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy provides pain relief and mobility restoration. Strong energy pulses are applied to an affected area, accelerating the healing process in the bones, tendons and soft tissues, for various types of acute or chronic pain. A key benefit of this treatment is the avoidance of the need for painkillers, or any subsequent surgical intervention.
Laser Therapy
Low-level laser therapy is used to enhance the body’s ability to handle inflammation, and increase the clearance of damaged cells. A visible light is used on the affected area to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, enhance mobility and accelerate recovery.
Orthotics
Orthotics are medical inserts worn within shoes to correct biomechanical issues – they can help how you stand, walk or run. Electronic measurements are made of the feet, with custom-make inserts delivered from the US directly to our patients.
