As an experienced senior Counselling Psychologist, Laura has a broad range of skills and expertise working with clients in a variety of settings. She has worked with adults and couples across a spectrum of mental health issues including anxiety, OCD, depression, trauma recovery, adjustment issues, personality disorders and relationship distress.

Laura has an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing from her training in Humanistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Laura brings a warmth and enthusiasm to her work and uses her clinical experience to tailor her approach to the needs of each client.

Professional Qualifications and Registrations:

  • Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Dublin Business School
  • Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from Trinity College Dublin
  • Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the Psychology Society of Ireland
  • Member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy

Previous Experience:

Laura started her career as a Psychologist with the Irish Health Service Executive (HSE) following her Masters in 2007. Within the HSE’s mental health division, Laura spent several years working with the Primary Care Counselling Project, a scheme developed to make psychological therapy more accessible in the community. Laura also spent five years working with asylum seekers in a direct provision centre funded by the HSE. In 2012 Laura moved to the National Counselling Service (NCS), an initiative set up for adult survivors of childhood abuse where she worked for a further five years. In 2018 having moved to Qatar with her family, she began working with TIMC.
