Dr Baggott has been a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist in the UK for over 20 years. He assesses and treats the full range of mental health issues from depressive disorders to severe personality disorders. As well as using pharmaceuticals where required, Dr Baggott is an approachable and empathetic Psychiatrist who is also trained as an Interpersonal Psychotherapist and Dialectical Behavioural Therapist, incorporating talking therapies into his treatment plans as appropriate. While Dr Baggott treats a wide range of patients, he is a leading expert in eating disorders.

Previous Experience:

Dr Baggott joined The International Medical Centre from St. Andrews Healthcare in the UK, where he was a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Women’s Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Service, a locked rehab and low secure inpatient unit for those suffering from Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. His prior roles include establishing and overseeing the NHS inpatient and outpatient Eating Disorders service for a population of 5.5 million in the East Midlands region of England. As well as his NHS work, Dr Baggott was running his own private clinic treating general outpatient psychiatric issues, and providing second opinions on complex cases. He has also worked as a Clinical Lecturer in medical schools in the UK, and has had many research papers published in medical journals.
